The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games came to an end on Sept. 8 (local time). China won a total of 220 medals, including 94 golds, 76 silvers and 50 bronzes, making it to the top of the gold medal count and the overall standings for six consecutive times. And the five Suzhou athletes who participated in this global para sports event secured 4 gold and 3 bronze medals.
Cao Ningning and Feng Panfeng claimed the Paralympic gold medal in the table tennis men’s doubles class 8 competition on Aug. 31 (Beijing time). Gu Xiaodan, who paired up with Pan Jiamin, triumphed in the table tennis women’s doubles class 10 on Sept. 1 (Beijing Time). Zhou Ying and Feng Panfeng grabbed the gold in the table tennis mixed doubles class 7 on Sept. 1 (Beijing time), while Gu Xiaodan seized the bronze. Feng Panfeng clinched the gold medal in the table tennis men’s singles class 3 on Sept. 6 (Beijing time). And Zhou Ying and Gu Xiaodan won bronze medals in the table tennis women’s singles class 4 respectively on Sept. 7 (Beijing time).
