During the 5-day holiday for the May 1st Labor Day this year, Suzhou received a total of 6.28 million tourists, with an average daily increase of 10.9% compared to the same period in 2019, according to Suzhou Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau. Total tourism revenue reached 8.8 billion yuan, with an average daily increase of 7.6% compared to the same period in 2019.
Statistics show that during the holiday from May 1 to 5, the monitored 52 A-level scenic areas and 9 key rural tourist spots in Suzhou saw 5.086 million visitors, an average daily increase of 2.4% and 71.1% compared with the same period in 2019 and 2020 respectively.
